Terms and Conditions (including Risk Acknowledgement)
By registering and/or participating in any GO Mammoth activity, you accept the following:
Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
- I understand the nature of GO Mammoth leagues and competitions and confirm that I am appropriately skilled and physically fit to take part. I accept full responsibility for ensuring the environment is safe before I begin participation.
- I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain personal injury insurance, as GO Mammoth does not provide it.
- I fully accept that participation in sport carries inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury, permanent disability, or death. These risks may arise from my actions, the actions of others, facility conditions, or other external factors. I accept these risks voluntarily and assume full responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage I may suffer.
- I release, discharge, and agree not to bring any claim against GO Mammoth Limited, its directors, employees, venue partners, officials, volunteers, sponsors, or advertisers (the “Releasees”) for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation—except where caused by proven negligence.
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims, liabilities, legal fees, or losses resulting from my participation.
- I understand that nothing in this agreement limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Terms & Conditions
Definitions
- "The Company": GO Mammoth Limited t/a GO Mammoth
- "League or Competition": Any league, tournament, or competition organised by The Company
- "Captain": A player designated to organise their team and ensure compliance with these T&Cs and league rules
- "Season fees": Fees payable for the season by a team or individual
- "Team/club": A group of registered players
- "Player": An individual participant
- "Season": A series of matches designated by The Company (usually 8-12 matches)
Pitch Hire Agreement
An agreement for the hire of sports pitches or facilities between The Company and the following - team/club/player. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
- Your team or club agrees to a period of a minimum of 10 weeks (unless otherwise stated) of pitch/facility hire at a price which varies depending on your chosen venue.
- This fee is payable for the series of lets whether or not a team opts to use all of its sessions or not.
- Payment for this agreement is made upfront in advance of the first session, as per the instructions sent upon registration.
- At the end of the series of lets/season, teams will be offered the chance to renew the agreement by paying an additional fee before the deadline.
- The hire agreement relates to the same activity at the same pitch/facility. Moving venues during the middle of an agreement is not permitted.
- For the duration of the agreement, teams must not take a break longer than 14 days. There must be at least a 24 hour gap between sessions also.
- Each session is for a designated time period, usually between 35 and 45 minutes, and during this time your team has exclusive use of the pitch.
League Management Agreement
This is an agreement between the Company and you (the club/team/player) for league management services. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
- Participation / General
- Applies to all services offered by The Company relating to the operation and management of leagues.
- By signing up for a league, teams and players agree to the terms and conditions and participant risk acknowledgment. It is the responsibility of captains to ensure players are aware of and adhere to these terms.
- Captains are accountable for ensuring all match fees are paid. Where a team fails to settle fees, GO Mammoth reserves the right to pursue any team member for outstanding payments. All players are jointly and severally liable for any team debts.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel participation for any breach of terms or rules
- League Fees
- The League Management Fee is £(x) per season and the price varies between venues. This is payable in advance at the start of the season and is subject to VAT where applicable.
- Captains are responsible for paying the league fee by the due date. Late or non-payment may result in loss of league place and forfeiture of any deposit (if applicable)
- Any monies owed may be collected by outside agencies
- Registration & Contact
- All players must register online; registration or venue entry constitutes agreement to T&Cs.
- Players must provide a valid email for schedule updates. Player contact details may be shared with teammates for match coordination unless opted out. The Company is not responsible for missed updates due to incorrect or missing player information.
- Only players aged 18 or over may participate. It is the team captain’s responsibility to check and ensure that no players are under the age of 18.
- Health & Safety
- The Company accepts no responsibility for injury or death to players or spectators, except where such loss arises as a result of the Company’s negligence.
- First aid equipment may be available at certain venues; however, no formal medical services are provided. Any medical assistance or advice given is provided on a voluntary basis and, where given, participant consent is assumed.
- The Company takes reasonable steps to select appropriate and safe venues and suitably qualified officials. Participants acknowledge that the Company does not own or exclusively control the venues used for league matches and has limited control over access to premises (including surrounding areas), or over how venues are used or left before and/or after competitions.
- Team Captains are responsible for ensuring that play does not begin unless they are satisfied that the playing surface and surrounding conditions are suitable and safe for the activity, taking into account the characteristics of their participants.
- Participants must notify The Company as soon as reasonably possible of any perceived hazards, violence (or threats of violence), or other forms of misconduct.
- Insurance
- The Company holds public liability insurance up to £5 million.
- Personal injury insurance is not provided by GO Mammoth and is the responsibility of the individual
- Absence & Forfeits
- A forfeiting team will be charged their full match fee
- If a team forfeits later than 4hrs before their fixture, GO Mammoth reserves the right to charge the forfeiting team their opposition’s match fee
- Two forfeits within a season may result in expulsion from the league without refund
- Postponements & Cancellations
- Where fixtures are postponed as a result of unforeseen or exceptional circumstances outside the Company’s control, the matches will be rearranged. All teams and players are required to fulfil the rescheduled fixtures, and no refunds will be provided.
- In certain situations, matches may be halted, for example due to injury, severe weather, or equipment failure. In such cases, the fixture may or may not be replayed and, where applicable, the score at the point of stoppage may stand.
- If the start of a new season is delayed or postponed due to circumstances beyond the Company’s control, revised start dates will be communicated. Start dates may change, and refunds will not be issued once teams or players have entered a season.
- Where training sessions or court hires are postponed for reasons outside the Company’s control, the affected sessions will be rearranged and refunds will not be offered.
- Leaving a League
- Teams and players may withdraw from a league only at the conclusion of a season, once all scheduled fixtures have been completed.
- Any team/player leaving during a season will not be entitled to a refund of season fees and will remain liable for any outstanding match fees, including opposition fees for remaining fixtures. This also applies where a team or participant is removed due to misconduct or disciplinary action.
- To avoid automatic inclusion in the following season, teams or players must provide at least one week’s notice prior to the end of their current season.
- Liability & Breach
- The Company will provide its services with a reasonable level of skill and care
- In the event of breach, The Company will endeavour to remedy this with a solution mutually acceptable to both parties.
- Other
- The Company may subcontract any of its obligations without notice.
- Participants may not assign their agreement or obligations without prior written consent from The Company
- These Terms are governed by English Law
- All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
